I created this pretty wind chime with all shells I collected alongside St George Island, FL. They’ve been hand drilled and strung and connected to driftwood with white twine. There are 12 strands of shells. I favor to make use of a mixture of shells and shell items, as I believe it provides to the distinctiveness of the piece. General this items measures approx. 27 inches lengthy from the highest of the twine by 13.5 inches broad. All of my shells are cleaned and sanitized in a bleach and water tub, then rinsed completely, and dried within the solar. It appears pretty displayed each indoors and out. All the time hold on a safe hook, I DO NOT advocate command strips! If hanging open air I like to recommend hanging in a protected space reminiscent of underneath a coated porch to maintain it shielded from the climate, as robust winds and rain could cause harm. I like to recommend taking it down if it’s going to be very windy.
